Hello,
Yes, you're right. We forgot to mention it, sorry for this.
This new FDM 5.1 version was written from scratch. It does not upgrading from neither FDM 3.x, nor FDM 5.0.
I hope that in the next 3-4 months you'll get FDM5 release with the all features s misses including upgrade from FDM3/5.0.

Thanks you for your answer Alex, till then, i'll continue using the the previous fdm 5.0 without using chrome plugin.
sorry to appear angry, that was a bad surprise, and a lost of time. you are doing a great work on this soft !
i hope by trying to do a minimal interface you will not forget "power s".
ps: regarding tags, i like to be able to see them all at once, this should be nice to add an option to customize size of the tag, and or also to be able to make them all displayable in one ot two rows.
thanks you.

Well i use it & it's broken in 5.x

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta 2t2j6e
no offense but it is terrible, missing 90% of the options

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta 2t2j6e
Jeez, that UI was not expected. Why are you dumbing it down to a lowest denominator? There are lots of fancy ones around already, people love FDM for its functionality and power uses, not for simplicity (it is not a fashion contest anyway).
Another project ruined by hipster-UI people.
I will not use FDM5, UI is not acceptable.

No discussion on this please, it is fact that there are unpatched issues in XP that occured after the lifecycle ended and no one should use it anymore unless he uses a PC without an internet connection. And in case you really have such a PC, what do you need a manager for?
Windows XP is still alive and ed by Microsoft until 2019: You may know that a lot of ATM machines, company PCs and other government PCs including army PCs are still using XP based machines. They pay for and get it until 2019. Sorry, you are totally uninformed when saying that XP is dead. It is still alive!
My energy saving XP netbook is predestined for s, it is up to date in security (Windows Updates is up to date) and uses also a avast virus scanner.
As Windows XP is the 2nd most used operating system in the world, I request Windows XP for FDM 5.1 beta and all versions, please.

Well, that may be the case, but this does not mean it is good. ATM machines, company PCs, government PCs and army PCs are most probably not the target group of this software. It is a software for homes. Usually, company, government and/or army PCs have restricted lists which software is allowed to be installed, and tools like FDM are often blacklisted. And what's the benefit for an end if these company pay for the ? None. They just do not get the updates at all, hence their private PCs are still unsafe.

Of course you can do that, but even if your XP is "up-to-date" this does not mean that all holes are fixed. How could they, there are no more updates released. From this point of view, Windows 95 would also be still up-to-date if every available fix has been installed? Think not. And no, an antivirus scanner does not make XP more secure, it does not protect from security holes.
I hope you get happy with your XP and its security issues, but don't expect developers to XP in the future, companies like Apple even dropped Vists for their software. I will not comment on this anmore now.

I made a thesis on university about security holes in WLAN b, g. Be sure that I know a little about security. And my Windows XP is as up to date in security as any other Windows version. Last Windows Update was just a few weeks ago. And even if you are using Windows 10, there may be uncountable errors and security holes in it. Maybe you are using an up to date Windows 10 and you are a "beta tester" as software grows in the market... and never will be error free.
There is nothing 100 % secure in this world besides the fact that everyone has to die once. Before that happens, we should have a good life... and latest FDM 5.x for Windows XP as this operating system is ranked number 2 (and forget about Apple's operating system => only a 7 % share). And that are facts that no one can deny. And for me there is no sense in throwing away a very good running Windows XP machine that is doing a good job and saves me money and energy in doing that job (less polution).

Anything in this world has a purpose. You want us to start ing something that is dying. Regardless of what you're saying - Windows XP is a dead OS. The more it's dead, the more efforts it's required to it.
For what? Why don't you want to use old good FDM3 on old good Windows XP?
Why do you really need to use FDM5 on Windows XP?

no. you guys haven't been updating 3.x (especially extension).
Now you guys are throwing in the great features into the bin and going with new ui which sucks tbh.
On top of that you are ending as well, not taking the blame and fixing things but forcing the to switch by saying F*ck oFF
Re: FDM 5.1 Beta 2t2j6e
I just recorded to the forum, I have written 2 post and no one told me about a problem as simple as where FDM save the settings and that the portable version does not store the settings. FDM is a lot to work on, I thank you for our wonderful free program but I think you are wasting precious energy to a project that appeals only to you
