Monitoring Not Working for Firefox 3.0.3 5x2r1l
On one of my machines, and only one of them, Firefox monitoring is not working at all. I am also not able to use the Browser context menu choices (they just do nothing).
FDM itself is working fine otherwise. I am able to manually add files to the queue and they work. IE monitoring is fine.
Also, I have a number of other machines, and FDM has continued to work with those without issue. The one that exhibits the problem is a fresh Windows install on my office machine. I even tried copying over my profile from my laptop (where FDM works fine) and it still won't work on this computer.
I have tried:
1. re-installing completely (including removing all settings) FDM using the latest non-beta build of FDM.
2. un/re-installing Firefox, including wiping my profile.
3. using FDM with a new, fresh, blank Firefox profile.
4. installing the latest beta build of FDM (which appears to use the same plugin for Firefox).
Nothing has helped. Help?

Is Firefox monitoring enabled in FDM's options?
Have you FlashGot installed?

Step 1. Find the "Folder(e.g.c:\Program Files\Free Manager)" where Free Manager is installed in Windows(Program Files).
Step 2. Copy "[email protected]" file from this folder
Step 3. Find the "Folder(e.g.c:\Program Files\Firefox\extensions)" where Firefox is installed in Windows(Program Files).
Step 4. Paste the file in "extensions(e.g.c:\Program Files\Firefox\extensions)" folder.

This made no difference. FWIW though, inside my C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions folder, I have only a number of folders named like this: {CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0007-ABCDEFFEDCBA}. I suspect that the fdm_ffext file should go in the Firefox Profile directory, rather than under Program Files.
Also... I've certainly tried uninstalling the FDM Plugin from Firefox, closing Firefox, uninstalling FDM, and then reinstalling FDM after re-ing from scratch. I've tried both the current release build of FDM and the current 2.6 Beta build. Nothing makes any difference.
When Monitoring for Firefox is checked in FDM (of course), the Free Manager plugin DOES show in the Firefox Extensions dialog, and lists version 1.3.3. I use Firefox with FDM on at least 4 other machines regularly which do not exhibit this issue.
My other Extensions in Firefox are:
1. Adblock Plus
2. Foxmarks Bookmarks Synchronizer
3. Nightly Tester Tools
All of these extensions are present and work fine on my other machines with FDM.
