I use FDM v2.1 Build 494 and it works fine for me in Vista with IE7 (screen 1, screen 2).

Same problem here, Vista RTM doesn't work.

Previous betas were fine, but since RTM, FDM hasn't worked.

I get a "not properly installed" error, and s don't work. Clipboard monitoring works fine, but the IE7 browser integration doesn't.

Works for me. I right click a file and select ' w/ FDM' and it works.

Vista Ultimate x86 RTM and IE7.

Can you give more specifics on your setup? x86 or 64 bit? Upgrade or fresh install of Vista? Have you tried reinstalling FDM?

I've now tried two different machines - a laptop, and a desktop machine.

The laptop is running Vista Home Basic, and is an x86 install.

The desktop is currently running Vista Ultimate 64 - but prior to installing that was running Ultimate x86.

All three machines exhibit the same behaviour. I've just installed FDM on the latop this second to test it, and it's doing the same thing. I tried reinstalling on the desktop yesterday, and that has the same problem.

I also noticed, but can't recreate it, that when I toggle from clipboard monitoring to browser integration, an error message popped up to tell me the IE integrations couldn't be installed.

I'm thinking it's something to do with Vista's new security features. I've not changed any of the default settings, so UAC is on, etc.

Your help would be appreciated.

Aha, I turned UAC off.

You might want to temp turn it off, see if you have the same problems, then turn it back on.

I'm running fully patched Vista Ultimate x64 (& SP1) and FDM v2.5 b755 with no problems at all. Are you all sure that you are fully patched?

Ok, sorry. I lied, I had started a that was stopped before I upgraged to this build of FDM and that started ok, but when I went to something new I got the same problem as everyone else.

As a temporary work around, I tried manually adding a instead of clicking on the link to it in IE and that worked fine.
