torrent is not unnecessary, but there should be an option to stop it. during install (best) or in preference (better than no option at all). i use utorrent, a great free and light program, so if fdm is not better in all respect, i would prefer using utorrent for torrents, for the minimal size alone.

that's what I meant. there are other tools specialized in torrents, so FDM should stick to its roots, at least if it doesn't have the uber feature we all were waiting for but didn't know it.

Rapidshare still broken, works on one or two files in the list, the rest fail and just HTML files in the real 's place. FireFox extension causes FireFox to crash on startup.

Looks like I'm going back to Orbit again, although the feature set of Orbit is pretty lean, rapidshare s never fail. I can leave the files queued up for days and they still work great.. I'll be back to try again.. FDM features are great, I really wish it did what I need it to do :(

V 632 - problems with Unicode in IE7 f1w1t

Postby Guest » Sat May 05, 2007 8:28 pm

After installing 632 beta version cannot type not-English language (Unicode) in "inside web site" text boxes like search box
It’s became gibberish
No problem inside google toolbar or outside IE7

No such problems with 610

After uninstalling FDM the problem vanish

Thanks

Anonymous wrote:With the speed issue I reffered to earlier in regards to 2.3 compared to 2.1, am I the only one having problems? Maybe someone could try ing a file of x size with 2.3 say twice, get the speed, then try the same with 2.1 with the same file. With mine its definately slower, and that was even with a clean system (I tested it straight after putting x64 clean install, sp2 & avast antivirus only).

Tried beta 3 today, works flawlessly! The two issues I noticed with beta 1 are now resolved... I guess this was intentional?! speed is perfect and the progress indicator (for normal s) now works properly like it should)!

one more thing from me (still not tested the beta): even if you disable all limitations, you can't do more than 20 s simultaneously. is there a reason for that or could you please disable that? when you have slow servers and lots of bandwidht, more than 20 s could come quite handy.
