I I ed the first 2.3 Beta and didn't work properly with Vista Ultimate (though the old version worked)
this ine (build 610) works great
but remeber to improve FDM icon
it should be like Vista icons (256*256 PNG)
and maybe improving the toolbar icons is a good idea

Really? You should get an "Invalid Range"

[-] Bug in Site Manager fixed.
I don't see any difference at all, it does exactly the same thing.
I just want one URL to at a time, it always tries to fetch the top level pages first before advancing to the second level - the image(s) that I want, if I queue up more than a couple site URLs. Selecting " Automatically" causes the last running to pause and the selected URL to be fetched, then goes back to the paused (that's no good). Just selecting "Start " works as I would expect automatic to work, except if I add a new URL it will fetch the next URL in the list (as automatic does), or if I queue more than one will treat all queued URLs as automatic does, so when a running is finished it starts fetching all top level pages of queued URLs (I don't want that).
In other words it's impossible to spider one URL at a time unless I wait and start each one manually. The reason I need this is that links in the pages are dynamic and and change after some time.
Also after doing this for about a hundred times FDM just now quit unexpectedly in the middle of a . I've been removing items from the list so I didn't have a long list.
I need FDM because it uses the server's last modified date, rather than the current date as every other program does. I hope this problem can be corrected... thanks.

I'm sorry, you said "Site Manager" not HTML Spider, which is what I was referring to.
My apologies, I am an idiot. You suggested I should write to .

I'm very happy that you done this. Now it is no more problem to load some files like this:
http://sourceforge.net/project/ ... e&17234702
normally FDM means: ANGEHALTEN (means STOPPED). And I had to cancel the with FDM and it by normal Windows manager.
If you need some new images or icons, perhaps I can do something for you. have a look on my website in the file manager if you are interessted.
Regards
Timo

I had a Rapidshare and it was paused during the above process. The failed because they don't resume. I can't have s pausing unexpectedly.

Thanks for any suggestions. I feel like I have tried every possible setting and option, and I still need to click OK to each .
Thanks!

Silent monitoring, in Monitoring tab of options.
Thanks for Alex and the development team. Your right..."Silient monitoring" does allow for one click adding of s. So no need to add this feature! However, please consider changing the name of this check box. I don't really know how this is 'monitoring siliently.' I would have looked at that check box over and over and never would it have struck me this would add a new without showing the settings box. Please consider changing the name of this checkbox to " With One Click." Thanks!

I need it to keep my beer cold. Also, it must bring me a beer when my previous one is empty. Please to add these much needed features.

Thanks for this update to FDM! Automatic guess for the category works great
One BIG wish: please, please make the dropdown box for category selection somewhat larger! Or (even better) replace it with a seperate dialog with a tree view and an incremental search field...
Many thanks for this great FREE program!!
Bye, Peter

I've noticed a big problem with version 2.3 build 610 that I wasn't having with version 2.1
I'm in a LAN environment (university housing), and the ing with 2.3 is chronically slow (even when set to 10MB LAN through the freemanager setup). With 2.1 back on there straight away its nice and fast again! Actually its so chronically slow in 2.3 that ing using Internet Explorer or Firefox is faster!
I am running Windows XP x64 Service Pack 2. Freemanager 2.1 works great!
This happens before and after I reinstalled the computer - I reinstalled after SP2 for x64/server came out. Anyways before I reinstalled I tried out Internet Manager 5.09, not that I was interested in using it. FDM has more features, but I must say IDM was Very fast. I know it starts ing as soon as you click the link and not after you click start , I'm talking about actual time in the programme. Its faster than even FDM 2.1.
Apparently in recent versions they made it faster somehow, so if you found out how they did it, without breaking copyright it would be interesting to see whether FDM can be made that fast.
Anyway the first speed issue is the most important one, it was frustratingly slow.
