I was just grabbing an ISO of Ubuntu and there were a lot of mirrors to be added. Up until now, I've been right-clicking, copying the link to the clipboard, then adding the link to the mirror list.

It'd be so much easier when the mirror dialog window is up to have the ability to drag the links from FF or IE to the mirror window, and it gets added to the list automagically.

Sounds like you'd like metalink. for it will be in the next version of FDM

it's an XML mirror list with checksums and other info. no copying & pasting involved.

I'm ing things from eclipse.org. Eclipse always offers dozens of mirrors. However, the fdm-included mirror-search is not aware of these mirrors. Therefore I'd like to add those mirros using drag'n'drop.

metalink seems to be a nice thing. But eclipse does not torrents, why should they go a step further and offer metalink?

Drag'n'drop would really help!

Metalink is something that is easier for browsers to than torrents. There are complications for torrent, like it being another protocol, s, and configuration issues.

Eclipse might start ing metalinks, their system has been patched so it could provide them automatically.
