Everybody wants it... but it will never happen. Windows s and developers really don't care about linux and linux s. Boycott it and you flashget instead when you run Windows !

Oops sorry (deletes post). Yeah Flashget ... it's not open source, there hasn't been much direction in years as far as development is concerned and the latest version is a big step backwards, IMO.

I use many linux managers with Ubuntu. Like Kget etc. According to my knowlege they are in primary level comparing FDM.
So i belive Linux base FDM should introduce.

Please port FDM to linux. Nothing is currently better than FDM and all the clients on linux are either difficult to use or just plain stupid.

Oh and the button at the top of the forum must link to http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/3828/ and not http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/11045 anymore, as you can only vote on the other one.

Or you can just replace the code with this:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/3828/">
<img src="http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/3828/image/1/" />
</a>

Here is what the right one looks like:

Thanks

I see that there is no Linux version of FDM. I want to try to work on my own linuxversion, but don´t know, where to the source code.
Does anyone know a link for it?

I think all the s know that FDM is hosted on Sourceforge. You can find it on the page of the FDM site.
Andrzej P. Wozniak, FDM and forum
Read FDM FAQ and the reporting rules

I looked it up, but there are only .exe files in all versions, but no surce code. Maby it is there and I just can´s see the link to it. It´s the first time I want to get the source and not the programme.

A Linux Version of FDM 6b651d

beelzebub360 » Sat Sep 18, 2010 9:52 am

I am asking for a very concrete solution.
Please port the Free manager to Linux.

There have been some people requesting a good manager.

It is a really great tool, which I have used during my
windows time, and I still use it for huge s.
(One of two things preventing me from wiping my NTFS partition)

FDM is available under GPL and it is coded in C++

It s
Multi Part ing
ing from video sites
Pause and Resume s
Detecting Mirrors
Manager
Resuming of broken s and Checksums
Scheduling
Torrents
Partial ing of zip archives
And much more

& having it .deb & .rmp machines would be great !!!!

So
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
Please
port it to linux with all the Featurs of windows !!!!!!!!!!!!
