0 byte/second s after pause 1o2c5u

Postby Sigivald » Thu Feb 28, 2008 4:38 am

I've noticed, both with 755 and the previous version I tried (750, I think), that I get great speed and everything works fine, at any site I want.

UNTIL I ever hit "pause all s" from the taskbar.

Then all s run at 0b/s or 1b/s until I remove and reinstall FDM, ing from any site.

The log shows an endless loop of "Restarting ..." "Starting downalod..." "Section 1 started", "Section 1 ing" "Preparing files on disk...", repeating about every 45 seconds.

Is this a known bug? Nothing in the forums seems to be about it.

I've checked the limits of the speed modes, and they're all set to non-zero, and this is not fixed by changing to medium or light.

Another post suggested that sometimes Heavy gets set to zero automatically, but that's not my problem here.

The problem is _terrible UI_.

Seems that hitting "pause" leaves pause ON, and the only indication of this is a relatively faint "depressed" look in teh right-clikc popup in the taskbar.

Instead of looping at 1b/sec, the status should really say "PAUSED", to make it clear. (Normally one would expect a pause to be 0, not 1b/sec...)

Seems to be another case of the problem described here:
