Looking for an FDM Walkthrough/Guide 4y712i

FDMan » Sun Oct 28, 2007 12:41 am

Just ed FDM this morning put in 7 links of s ranging from 500mb to 1gig, went to bed, and when I woke up all were done. Great tool as apposed to dTa which is good for small s since it does not have a que system and when it times out you have to start over  .
And now I want to be able to tweak FDM to my advantage, so i can get faster s out of it. So if anyone could post a link to a Guide on how to juice FDM, or one that explains all the features in detail: I would really appreciate the help. (Was not able to find the search button on these forums :? )

Also, is it more efficient (time wise) to one link at a time or have several ing at once?

I did find the search button (located between faq and profile) and searched for a guide when i stumbled on a few request posts such as mine, with no replies.

If there is no guide out there, but some one knows how to use FDM well and its terminology please post a walkthrough for the rest of us :D .

There is an Optimization Master feature (Options\Optimization master) that should help for faster s.

For an explanation of all the features, have you read through the Help File?

Do you mean the "Help Reference Window"? from help menu. Cause i didn't find any help files.

Just tried the optimization master, and all it asked me was for my speed. After selecting the speed it just simply closes.

Bug perhaps?

Yes, that's the one. The file name is Free Manager.chm. You'll find quite a bit of information about the features.

From the Help File:

Optimization master sets optimal parameters of er depending on how fast your connections to Internet is. To open it go Options | Optimization Master.

· In the Optimization Master dialog box choose the connection type.

· After you click OK, Free Manager will automatically adjust its parameters for better performance.

Since it's only adjusting your settings, it doesn't take long. :)
