[BUG] Problems renaming a file that already exist 5e151w

Files ed with a name that already exist, arent renamed even with the option:
Default Options - Miscellaneous - In the file already exist [Rename]

option "Rename at Restart" sometimes works another no :/

FDM 2.0.419 + Win2003SP1

Did you enable option "append comment to file name"?

Yes, i have that problem too. Comments disabled.

Rename doesn't work here too. I do not have comments turned on.

My option to rename if file exists is set to "ask". I ed a file, was prompted what to do, I chose 'rename'.

No error message was issued, from all appearances it completed.

BUT original file still on disk just fine, new filename created with (1) appended to it, but was created as a FOLDER entry, ed file still has '!!!' extension on it per my options.

It seems the rename could not complete because the new name is a FOLDER????
