FDM 3.7 Release Candidate 1l641m

Alex » Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:40 pm

Hi!

We decided to release one more intermediate update before releasing the final version of Free Manager.

This update greatly improves monitoring for flash videos under Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. Also it has improved monitoring for usual s under Internet Explorer.

3.7 RC
(the link is permanent for the all further updates of 3.7 RC version).

3.7 RC1 build 956. (June 7, 2011)
Changes:
[*] Improved integration with Internet Explorer.
[*] Greatly improved monitoring for flash videos.
[-] General bug fixes.

Updated. (June 17, 2011)
Changes:
[-] IE9 could crashed by FDM sometimes.

Warning: A few days ago some antivirus programs reported FDM 3.7 RC1 as containing a virus. It was the false positive. At the current moment (16 June) the only one antivirus (Ikarus) reports it as such. You can check this in the following reports provided by VirusTotal.com service: fdm37inst.exe, iefdm2.dll (FDM's BHO for Internet Explorer).

great, thanks, at least its another tick..........

I use this program mainly because on dial up its a real PITA when you a big file and loose the connection, than loose what was D/L, with a program like this it at least holds what was D/L thus far.

On this note, at times the proceeds as usual, but than for some reason stops on its own, when I try to re start the D/L it never recovers and I end up deleting what there is of the file and end up re ing the file again, so sometimes even this program doesn't do right either but its 95% on. One more item, when D/L files from some site, the file is only in ONE large block, and there is NO recovering from the D/L if it stops for any reason, any way to get the program to hold what it gets from such sites?

The only way is to ask site owners/s to change server settings. And the standard answer is "Want permanent links, resuming, multiple sections? Buy ".
You can also read other topics on resuming...

Thank you, Alex and team. I have installed 3.7 RC1 build 956 about one hour ago over top of 3.5 RC build 954. I have tested some of my favorite sites for Flash and other file s without any problem. I will continue testing.

Win98 / Firefox 3.6 / Avast AV / ZoneAlarm Firewall

thanks for the update :D

I have 1 suggestion. Remove spaces at the end of an selected folder, otherwise the stops (path not found). Removing the unneeded space let the start.

Hello
When I tick 3 tools options (hang up, Exit & Shutdown) the computer will not shutdown; because of FDM exiting before shuting down. The best idea is to change the priority of "Exit when done" and "Shutdown computer when done".

doese this fixed in 3.7-RC?

thanks
