I have ie8 which I hardly if ever use and firefox I use 100%.
Never had a problem with FDM except for yesterday.
Was trying to a *.zip file from an Elements 6 forum and what was ed was a *.php file. This happened a number of times. Went back to forum and others said they were not having a problem with ing *.zip file
Finally person said he tried and he uses FF 3.6 and ie8 and it should . So I tried ie8 and *.zip file ed in like 2 seconds. It's a small file. I'm on a broadband connection with XP home on a laptop.*.zip file opened just fine and it works.
What's with FDM not ing *.zip file.
location of *.zip file is
http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/a ... 1218890139
I've used FDM 3 build for upgrades, video, software upgrades and just about everything else in year or two I've been using it.

I have also had this problem`on sites that require a sign in. I don't know a fix but a workaround is to rename the ed .php file to the appropriate extension, in this case .zip.
