"Can't connect to the server" error is NOT a FW pr 171w4v
Occasionally when I try to something with FDM I get a
"Can't connect to the server" error
see snapshot:

This is NOT a firewall problem!!
When I came back later (5-6 hours) or even reboot then everything works WITHOUT having changed something in the firewall.
So it must be an error of FDM.
Morevoer I would appreciate to get a more informative error message than just "Can't connect to the server".
What about:
"Can't connect to 123.234.345.0045 (ftp.foobar.com) on port 2345"
I suggest to change this in the next release

Mainly caused due to firewall blocking the connection. Try creating an exception for FDM in ur firewall
