Relatively high idle U usage 3e16z

Postby Guest » Wed Feb 18, 2009 7:44 pm

I've noticed that if FDM is just running and doing nothing, it's constantly using between 1-2% U on my E6600. While this isn't high by any means, I don't see what it's using any U for at all. Is there a particular module or something within it that can be disabled to reduce this load?

Maybe browser or clipboard monitoring.

Clipboard and browser monitoring are both disabled.

I don't use BitTorrent and I don't even have BitTorrent enabled.

To give you an idea of the usage I've had an instance of FDM running for a couple days now with maybe 2 hours of standard s a day and it's consumed over 4 hours of U time with a constant idle usage of 2%.

Disable traffic checking for FDM in your antivirus/firewall.
