Suggestion 651l2q
Hi! Now that FDM is finally working for me, I've found it lacks a very useful feature.
When you add a file that's already being dloaded, FDM creates a new dload for that file, instead it should add the new one as a mirror.
For example:
I add http://servera.com/file.zip
and then add http://serverb.com/file.zip (same file, same size).
Then I should have the URL http://serverb.com/file.zip automatically added as a mirror for the first (instead of a new dload) and new segments created accordingly.
(Getright does this in case you are wondering what I mean)
Bye!

now where you point this out, that's something that i miss since a long time...
such feature would be great

Yes, wouldn't it?
That's why I made the suggestion.
FDM already has a very useful feature: setting the file's timestamp from the server, the one I'm proposing would make it almost perfect!

Something I forgot:
Imagine you are presented with several mirrors for the same file on a web page, I usually click several of them, so that the will have a lot of mirrors and use several segments to get it done faster (i do that with getright and it works perfectly), but FDM doesn't do it.
It could be added as an option, on or off by default, but having the choice would be just perfect.

It seems you can do this manually. On the inital box there is a button at the top under the URL that says "Mirrors".
It looks like you can add a mirror or several mirrors before the begins. Ive never tried it tho. You would also have to copy and paste...
If it can be done, it doesnt look like its as easy as what youre suggesting.
Hopefully they will look into it.

Yes, it would be great to have this feature.
I hope it will be in final 3.0

yes, I know it can be done manually, what i'm proposing is that it be done automatically when you click several links for the same file. duh!

...To avoid the hassle of copying-pasting and opening the advanced-->mirrors tab, it's too much a hassle.
