Hello,
Whenever you use alpha version of a product, you are eligible for getting whatever kind of bugs developers can create.
For me, it's a bug of Firefox Nightly, not an issue of FDM. So I can't give you any ideas except the one to go to their and file a bug report there.

Fair enough. I had hoped you had insight as to what might have changed in Nightly, but I'll look elsewhere.

I've also noticed the "sort by status" feature is not retained after restarting the program.
I think it would be a good idea to retain whatever sorting option is last selected, as it works in FDM 5.

It's a bug. It's caused by "Enable defined order of s" option. It will be fixed in the next update.

when I add a file to FDM starts ing the file
but when I add the next file to FDM stops the first file that was ing
and FDM starts ing that new file
THEN if I add another file to
it stops the previous newish file from ing
and FDM starts ing the most newly added file...

We've discovered recently that FDM 6.17 has partially broken mechanism of managing the s priorities. Sorry for the inconvenience. This will be fixed in the next update.

I cannot resize each column in section. kindly add following features in the update
1. resizable column in section
2. separate estimated time remaining and progress bar.

kindly bring back section of FDM 3.x with addition to progress bar.

and i am now requesting a new feature here
1. kindly modify the add new so that i can add two url at the same time and it will merge both files ed by this mechanism.

This can't be done and has no real sense: FDM6 already tries to set the widths as minimum as possible to free the space for the Name column. The order can't be changed too: it'll break the logic that Name column uses the space of Status and Speed columns whenever it's possible.

Dear Alex;
I knew the logic of name column but i have few question and a problem
problem
1. when i use compact or smaller screen then the progressbar disappear but the font of ETA and progress is too small to notice, it feels very unlikely.
SO i request you kindly separate progress bar and ETA to different column.
2. when i use compact view or smaller window the name column became very wide and with that other columns looks very ugly.

Questions
1. is it worth it to give such a logic to name column in such a way that it hampers the UI.
2. why don't you use simple logic of when ing ETA, speed shows data otherwise it shows empty, just like FDM 3.x.
3. when do you plan to bring back button over/on web players because always clicking right and from the popup menu to select video is very much time consuming and some sites are right click prohibited though they run web videos, so kindly do all of a favor and bring back " with FDM".

if you execute few things first then FDM will be best forever.

1. separate add dialog.
2. bring back " with FDM" over/on web videos just like FDM 3.x for all browsers (firefox, chrome and others).
3. Separate all the columns and remove the extra logic and make it simple like FDM 3.x
4. in traffic why such a bulky setting it will replace by number of connection per , max number of s and speed limit per .

thats it if you find this useful then try this as forum beta first and try it for yourself and give your s to try and then you will see increase in FDM popularity.

Well, as of today, and Firefox Nightly v107 alpha 1 (23 Sept build) it is working again.

I suspect, though, that this was strictly related to something in v106, as that is now in Beta, and there is a in the Firefox thread relating the exact same behavior on v106 beta 1.

Thanks again johngalt, I had disabled all extensions for a while (some testing) and didn't notice the restored behavior when Nightly upgraded to 107a1, it is working again indeed.

Somehow i installed elephant back. but it doesn't anything it just finds "watch.html" now. working with previous fdm

6.18.0.4888 is released. I recommend to update for everyone having issues with the previous releases.

Nice to see the font scaling, would be better to have an option for 125% instead of 10% increments as i have 125% scaling in windows 10.

Also the main application scaling or 100% or 200% is pretty crazy as 200% is enormous. Would be nice to have a 125% option for that too.

Youtube videos still work fine for me btw.
