The name doesn't matter. The main thing is to have this good part

It's Free...

It s stuff for you...

It Manages where and when you ...

Free

Manager

Seriously, the word "Free" got me to try this great product in the first place. Don't try to jazz it up with adjectives and adverbs that proclaim that it has supernatual powers. It is what it is.

Now, would someone please help me down from my soapbox. Thank you.

You should keep the current name. It is slightly strange at first, because it does'nt have a "unique" name, yes. But it has many advantages:

- it is already well known and changing it will confuse s
- it says what it is
- it matches searches for "free manager" (which is how I, and I'm sure many, found it!)
- it says right away that it is free, which is quite important when one is looking for a utility of this kind

BTW, I just donated 10 bucks through Paypal yesterday ;-)

Down Lode 5u435n

Phil » Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:14 pm

I suggest: "Down Lode"

"Lode" means: (According to http://www.m-w.com)

: an ore deposit
: something that resembles a lode : an abundant store

Related word: "mother lode"

: the principal vein or lode of a region
: a principal source or supply

Another related word: "Comstock Lode"

: gold & silver lode at Virginia City, Nevada

... Phil

I also voted to keep the name it already has. It may not be very exciting, but it is very descriptive of what you get and what you have to pay for that.

Is anyone down for the Japanese power name?

I.E.: Hyper Mega Free Manager Super Alpha X

The slogan could be " with vigor!"

No? OK.

I think name "Free Manager" suits the program just fine. Hell, it's almost as good as my power name suggestion.

Free Manager seems to be stuck, but how about:

Home Delivery, or

GoBoy, or

Dr. , or

Net Truck, or

Fetch It, or

Swiftload?
