Thanks for report. We will check.
You did nothing with these libraries so far. And they are just compiled for OS version 5.1 (Win XP+) now, while earlier versions were compiled for OS version 4.0 (Win95+). Library fdmumsp.dll is also compiled for OS version 5.1.
I can use new versions with kernel extensions for Windows 2000 (KDW - Known DLLs Wrapper) and for Windows 98 SE (KernelEx), both described in MSFN forum.

I'm not sure but it's possible that we will not Win9x and maybe Win2k also.
I'm afraid Microsoft deliberately have made incompatibilities in API so it is difficult or even impossible to make libraries well working with all IE versions.
I think you should prepare seperate dlls for different IE versions:
- IE6 - OS version 4.0 (use dlls from FDM 3.0 as base)
- IE7-8 - OS version 5.1 (use dlls from FDM 3.5 as base)
- IE9+ - OS version 6 would be needed, I suppose.

BTW. Can you supply StringFileInfo block in all FDM dll and exe files, please?

You should read other topics and other posts. I have already written that current FDM extension for Firefox DOES NOT work with Firefox 5.0.
Install FlashGot and wait until FDM will be fixed. Stop complaining and begging, please, it doesn't help at all.

Thanks for the update.

Two bugs from the previous build still exist:

1. "Shutdown computer when done" doesn't work when workstation is locked.

2. "Keep records within" under "Save history of s" is only effected when I press OK in the Settings window.

OS is Windows 7 HP sp1 x64.

Unfortunately, today I've found out that MS Visual Studio 2010 can't make binaries to be able to run on versions prior Windows XP SP1.
Those DLL modules are compiled using VS2010...

VS2008 is still available.
I'd like to see at least one final FDM version for Win9x/2k. Let it be FDM 3.99, then FDM 4.0 will be for WinXP+.

Re: FDM 3.7 Release Candidate - False positive 5n26a

murmel » Thu Jun 23, 2011 5:30 pm

Hi,
I just wanted to note, that my G Data Total Care 2011 identifies the FDM 3.7RC as a virus/trojan (false positive I assume). I think, it was during installation.
I let G Data clean/repair the files G Data mentioned (I had to, theres no way to do nothing if G Data finds sth) and FDM worked without problems. Unlucky, I haven`t the log anymore but there were 2 files with fdmie or sth. in the name. I guess some files for IE and I am using FF only. That`s why I didn`t note any problems.
Now I ed FDM 3.8 beta for FF5 and G Data didn`t anything, so no false-positive anymore :)
Regards.
