I have been having the same issue with version 3.9.5, all builds. I use Opera browser, version 12.17. I start the video, then copy the url address to the flash video . A pop-up windows says no video can be found. For me, it works with Youtube videos, but not with videos from other sites. The first time I try this, the file flvsniff.dll is ed by FDM, but it does not seem to work properly. So, I keep reverting to version 3.9.4, build 1470, which works correctly. Here is an example URL:

http://www.nowvideo.sx/video/fu8cw778q51n3

Version 3.9.5 cannot detect this video, while 3.9.4 does detect it. I have tried the same with QtWeb browser with the same results.

Hi,

I installed FDM 3.9.5 (build 1537), but Firefox 37.0.2 indicates that the plugin (1.5.7.6) is not compatible. Have you published compatibility information for this version of the plugin? I've tried removing and adding the plugin once more, without success. I've encountered this issue with previous builds, but upgrading usually resolved the issue. However, upgrading from 3.9.4 to 3.9.5 hasn't resolved it.

Win Vista SP2 32 bit
Firefox 37.0.2

Your Firefox tries to use old plugin from FDM 3.9.4 so you should remove it manually. Read instructions in FDM FAQ about Firefox troubleshooting, please.

same here, the "create flash video " menu in the system tray & right click context menu " video with free manager" only work with youtube, but does not work on any other steaming sites like vodlocker/vidbull/nowvideo/videoweed/movshare/novamov/cloudtime or any other video host that usually work...

here's just a few sample...

http://vidbull.com/iqlb0sp5xdde.html

btw, i try it on IEv9/FF/GCv41 w FDMv3.9.5 build 1537 on my window vista 32bit...

no but i use flashgot for firefox (to instigate w FDM) & it does work on those sites but it's flashgot that detect the video not FDM...

IE & GC don't have flashgot so that's why i use FDM & then i found this horrible bug...

btw, "create flash video " does not work on all sites including dailymotion & vimeo although the " it" button does detect the video correctly on vimeo so i can still it w FDM on my IE but it can't detect dailymotion's video correctly...

Have you really installed FDM 3.9.5 build 1537 with plugin version 1.7.3.1? Have you read the FDM FAQ about Firefox troubleshooting?

Build 1542 is released.
Please not that you need manually update flash video monitoring module (if you use it).
For this: uninstall FDM before installing OR delete flvsniff.dll file in FDM's installation folder. Then just enable flash video monitoring options again.

Thank you for the update.
But the problem is I have to uninstall and reinstall fdm to get new flash video monitor component. And I will have to do it everytime you update it !?! Why do not you include fvm component in installer like before.
Ps. Disabled by default itn't problem.

1. We had to do it due to a very strange behavior of Google Safe Browsing. We'll include the video monitoring module into the installer again, as soon as these issues are solved.
2. We plan to avoid the necessity to update video monitoring module manually.

1.7.3.1? Or 1.7.3?

Having FDM version 3.9.5 build 1542 installed, Mozilla Firefox 38.0 says Free Manager plugin 1.7.3 would be installed but disables it automatically because it says it would be incompatible with Firefox 38.0.

What is the latest version of the plugin?

Is it 1.7.3.1? Or is it 1.7.3?

Firefox 38.0 definitely says that plugin version 1.7.3 would be incompatible.

What can be done about it?

Regards
