Automatically retry resuming a failed 14226o

galacticninja » Mon Oct 31, 2011 7:13 am

When I am ing from a certain website, due to possibly ISP issues and/or that website's server, I would regularly have to manually resume the as it stops at random intervals, until the finishes. This happens with every browser I tried (Opera/Firefox/Chrome).

I am currently looking around for managers that can automatically retry resuming a stopped and would like to know if FDM has this feature. I have FDM installed and will be using it with Opera.

Every good manager (including FDM) has an option to automatically resume broken s, but the option works only if the server allows to do it.
In the worst case servers generate random links and you must restart broken s from the very beginning. It is usual for anonymous s or free s in file hosting services, you just must pay them to have resuming allowed.

The website I was ing from (mediafire.com) allows resuming of stopped s without any additional fees. I was able to do this manually and am just looking to automate this due to issues with the s stopping at random intervals as explained in my first post.

Does FDM have the auto-retry resume of broken/stopped s feature enabled with its default settings (assuming the server s resuming), or do I have to configure it to do so?

Edit

I am currently just manually copying and pasting the Mediafire.com links from my browser into FDM while looking for a way to fix the Opera integration with FDM.

I have noticed an issue: I have two URLs that I am trying to . The first URL below is currently ing. When I try to add the second URL below, FDM states that ' with this URL already exists. What to do?'. All the choices I tried leads into me being unable to the second URL, while the first one is ing in FDM. ing these files simultaneously in my browser's manager works fine.

These URLs are what Mediafire generated at the time of attempt:
1st URL (removed http:// in the URL as the forums only allows a maximum of 3 URLs per post)
1040.mediafire.com/dzovep7idn3g/aw6mzn4srmiin22/%5B111027%5D+Mnet+M!Countdown+-+The+Boys+%2B+No.1+720p.x264-CKJS.mkv.001

2nd URL:
1066.mediafire.com/8tzgki478yfg/87qc01yb21ck3gj/%5B2011-10-30%5D+The+Boys+%26+Mutizen+Song+(SBS+Inkigayo).mkv.002

Hello Usher. I am trying to if this feature is an always-on feature? I don not see an option to turn ON or OFF automatic resuming in FDM.

Thanks for the information.
Sincerely,
David

This is very old topic, but it may be still valid for classic FDM 3.9.7. And what FDM version do you use? Follow the reporting rules, if you want to get more detailed reply, please.

Hi,
About "automatic retry" which is very important to me, couldn't we have up-to-date option.
I have FDM 5.1.38.7312 ... and all I found about it on this website is info are about FDM 3.9.7

How could-I set for automatic retry?
Thank you
...And thank you for a super piece of software.
