How to resume a started by Firefox 52185t

I used Firefox to a large Gig file but it hanged before it's finished. I still have the .part file and I could find the url (not FTP), but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do on Free Manager to continue this . Is it possible btw?

Assuming the is listed in FDM, just click the start button.

FDM won't resume sometimes. It has a major bug that it just stops resuming s even though other apps like DAP work better and always resume when sites it. FDM on ed sites won't resume and if it does it only does a couple times. This bug has been around forever and there's no sign anyone cares.

No, I don't think you can switch between FF and FDM and have it resume.

I was wondering the same thing - It looks like you HAVE to start the with FDM to get resume to work. If your downlad was started in firefox (ie, listed in Firefox's "s" window), is there any way to transfer it to FDM and resume?

If only one segment was used, you could try another manager to get it. Try wget (h.t.t.p.://s.ugent.be/~bpuype/wget/). It's a console app and reliable .

this might be a little late but.. FF has a add-on manager that I think is just as good as any other. its called DownThemAll!

Could an FDM developer please give a firm and clear answer to the question of this thread?

If firefox aborts a , can you use FDM to resume and finish that ?

If so, how EXACTLY do you get FDM to use the .part file that FF left?

I tried dragging and dropping the .part file from Win-Explorer into FDM, but it did something weird...acted like it was ing from local HD and 'finished' instantly.

If FDM does not currently work for this task, could you please make it do so?

Yes it is possible to to resume incomplete s from other programs including firefox.

Okay, start by removing the ".part" from the file name.
Now go to FDM and click on "add ".
Insert the url for your file.
Choose the folder that you have the partial file is in, in the "save to folder" option.
Now click on the "advanced" button.
Go to the "miscellaneous" tab.
You should now see a drop down menu titled "if the file already exists".
Pick the resume option.
Click "okay".

Now it should resume from where firefox finished.
I know it works because I have used this feature myself.
